Senior Unreal Core Programmer

Awaken Realms is a game development team with two major releases: "Tainted Grail - Conquest" and "Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon," an ambitious open world RPG described as "Polski Skyrim" with an 87% rating on a major store. Both games were developed using the Unity engine. The team is starting a new early-phase RPG project on Unreal Engine with strong use of DOD and Mass, seeking a Senior Unreal Programmer to adapt the engine to their approach and optimization requirements.

• 5 years of experience in computer game development.
• 2 years of experience developing games with Unreal Engine.
• Very good knowledge of Unreal Engine (strengths and weaknesses of its systems) and C++.
• Good knowledge of DOD and ECS.
• Analytical thinking skills to identify potential problems and solutions.
• Ability to write clear code and communicate about it.
• Fluent English.
• Willingness to help others and share knowledge.
• Commitment, passion for computer games, and high ambitions.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Mass.
• Experience releasing a game in a larger team (10+ people).
• Knowledge of Blueprints and RigVM.
• Experience with streamed open worlds.
• Knowledge of Perforce version control system.

• Implement core systems and mechanics.
• Review code from other programmers with focus on performance (CPU, GPU, memory).
• Participate in designing new solutions and planning system architecture.
• Share knowledge with the team, especially regarding Unreal Engine API and functionalities.
