Data Processing Systems Expert (m / f)

Medicover is a company focused on improving and maintaining the good health of patients. The position is based in Warsaw and involves working with modern data architecture and ML/AI solutions within the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem.

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with emphasis on cloud projects and GCP tools including BigQuery.
• Expert knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services for data storage and processing.
• Advanced skills in BigQuery including SQL query optimization, partitioning, clustering, and cost management.
• Practical knowledge of SQL query optimization.
• Programming skills in Python.
• Experience in data engineering: building ETL/ELT processes and integrating data from external systems (e.g., Google Analytics, API, DataLayer).
• Higher technical education (Computer Science or related field).
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level (technical documentation and communication).

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Power BI.
• Familiarity with Git version control and JIRA/Confluence tools.
• Experience in Healthcare or E-commerce sectors.
• Basic knowledge of Machine Learning and Vertex AI tools.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification.

• Designing and developing modern data architecture and ML/AI services based on Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery and Vertex AI.
• Independently designing database solutions.
• Performance and cost optimization of BigQuery queries and processes.
• Providing active technological consultancy by selecting GCP tools for specific business and reporting needs.
• Implementing and supervising data engineering standards from design to monitoring.
• Collaborating with business partners to translate requirements into analytical solutions.
• Conducting technology reviews (R&D) and recommending innovations in Big Data.
• Integrating data from multiple sources.
• Participating in planning and executing projects related to reporting solutions implementation.
