FORWARD DEPLOYED ENGINEER — BACKEND & PRODUCTION

We are launching a mission-critical, AI-powered enterprise automation and decision platform requiring advanced LLM orchestration, semantic reasoning, data integrity, and compliance with global security standards.

• 8–12+ years of experience as a backend-leaning senior engineer shipping complex systems to production.
• Deep expertise in production operations including complex database migrations, zero-downtime deployments, and rollback procedures.
• Absolute fluency in OWASP standards, secrets management, input validation, and application-level AuthN/AuthZ.
• Deep understanding of LLM failure modes and ability to detect hallucinated logic and AI-generated security vulnerabilities.
• Ownership mindset: build, run, carry pager, author runbooks, and lead incident response without external DevOps or QA teams.
• Willingness to travel 70% or relocate to the UK.

• Architect & Implement AI Workflows: Design scalable RAG pipelines and autonomous agent architectures; build lean, high-performance user interfaces for real-time AI interactions.
• Deploy & Optimize Models: Build robust CI/CD pipelines with zero-downtime schema migrations, token-efficient model caching, and automated fallback procedures.
• Harden AI Security: Implement defensive coding against prompt injection, enforce strict PII masking, and secure application-level authentication.
• Govern AI Output: Conduct rigorous AI-native code reviews to intercept architectural defects, hallucinated logic, or security flaws.
• Own Reliability & Cost Observability: Track token consumption, monitor semantic drift, author operational runbooks, and lead technical incident responses.

This role involves 70% business travel or relocation to the UK.
