Flutter Developer (Hospitality Industry)

Our client is a US-based software company that builds an operations platform for restaurant, cruise, hospitality, and foodservice businesses. Their products help multi-location companies manage inventory, food costs, labor scheduling, compliance, operational workflows, analytics, and reporting from one centralized system. The platform supports 125,000+ restaurant locations worldwide.

You will work on a mobile application for cruise operations. The team is developing new features for the existing app and plans to move part of this functionality into a separate application later. The role involves close collaboration with the web development team, as some mobile features need to reflect or adapt functionality already being built on the web side. The app supports operational workflows such as inventory management, order processing, recipe access, and employee time management.

• 1-3 years of commercial experience with Flutter
• Strong knowledge of Dart programming language and Flutter framework
• Proficiency in state management solutions (Provider, Bloc etc)
• Experience with Flutter navigation libraries, routing, page transitions, and deep linking
• Ability to create native bridges when platform-specific functionality is needed
• Experience with async code and isolates
• Understanding of architecture and design patterns (MVVM/MVC)
• Experience with unit, widget, or automation testing
• Ability to understand the business domain and make thoughtful implementation decisions
• Attention to detail, focus on code quality, and ability to communicate technical decisions clearly
• Readiness to work in a fast-paced product environment and contribute to team knowledge sharing
• Upper-Intermediate English
• Ability to have 4 hours of overlap with the Boston team, until 12:00 PM UTC-5

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with Swift or Kotlin
• Experience with Firebase Push Notifications
• Experience with other mobile development frameworks

• Develop mobile applications for Android and iOS using Flutter framework
• Create and manage navigation flows within the application, including routing, page transitions, and deep linking
• Collaborate with the product and design teams to understand project requirements and design guidelines
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Create bridges in native code (platform-specific code) when necessary to integrate with device-specific features and APIs
• Participate in triaging incidents and issues reported by the support team
• Monitor and analyze production problems, responding promptly to incidents
• Ensure high code quality by covering functionality with automated tests

The client requires 4 hours of overlap with the Boston team until 12pm UTC -5. We are planning several stages of interviews. If the candidate successfully passes the interview on our end, we will schedule an interview with the development director on the Crunchtime side.
