Junior Software Engineer

Emergesoft is a company with 14 years on the market, operating across 3 continents with 100 people onboard, 90% of whom are senior level. The company handles a mobile wallet platform processing 50 million transactions daily, with a daily transaction value of 1 billion USD and 1 billion mobile money accounts.

MUST HAVE 🟢

• 1–2 years of professional backend engineering experience (preferably within Fintech, Banking, or Telecom environments).
• Solid foundational knowledge of Java EE (Enterprise Edition).
• Practical experience with Apache Kafka event streaming.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (SQL, Oracle).
• Proven experience writing unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito).
• Fluency in English (minimum B2+, both written and spoken) for daily team collaboration.

NICE TO HAVE 🔵

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration workflows (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
• Experience with build automation tools (Gradle) and CI/CD setups (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Familiarity with logging, search, and observability tools (Prometheus, ElasticSearch, OpenTelemetry).
• Basic understanding of frontend technologies (JavaScript / TypeScript, Vue.js).

• Implementing new features, customizing, and maintaining a high-volume financial system processing massive transaction streams.
• Writing robust unit and integration tests to ensure platform stability.
• Integrating the core application with existing client infrastructure modules (authorization, alarm ecosystems, events, and OpenTelemetry metrics tracking).
• Analyzing business requirements and maintaining technical software documentation.
• Participating in core technical application modeling (low-level design).
• Working closely within a highly collaborative, cross-functional Agile team of 5–7 engineers.

Remote work is from Poland with occasional visits to the Warsaw office (~1/month). Start date is June 2026. Project duration is long-term (16-month engagement pipeline).
