Senior Software Engineer (Python)

Working within our Cyber Data Services team, which is at the core of our Proactive Insurance product offering and Client's promise to protect our policyholders from existing and emerging cyber security vulnerabilities and threats.

You will play a key role in developing the company's competitive advantage in aggregating, presenting, and analysing large datasets. You will contribute to the development of our proprietary data platform and work to solve problems that are key to protecting our policyholders.

• Experience with Python.
• Experience integrating with ITSM platforms like Freshdesk & Freshchat APIs (REST, webhooks).
• Ability to troubleshoot API calls, JSON payloads, and integration issues.
• Awareness of web frontend technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) for widget configuration.
• Experience configuring automations, workflows, SLAs, routing rules, and inbox logic.
• Experience modeling data for operational and analytical purposes.
• Understanding of outbound communication flows including branding and template configuration.
• Experience contributing to CI/CD quality automation.
• Experience with test automation enhancement.
• Ability to maintain quality documentation.
• Experience mentoring and coaching team members.
• Knowledge of application security standards and API standards compliance.

• Contribute using the standard tech stack: Python, Linux (via WSL), PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Databricks, spanning Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Integrate with ITSM platforms like Freshdesk & Freshchat APIs (REST, webhooks).
• Troubleshoot API calls, JSON payloads, and integration issues.
• Collaborate effectively on web frontend widget configuration (HTML/CSS/JS) without full development skills.
• Configure automations, workflows, SLAs, routing rules, and inbox logic.
• Model data for operational and analytical purposes in collaboration with teams and analytical data customers.
• Understand outbound communication flows (email/push), including branding and template configuration.
• Contribute to quality automation in CI/CD processes to optimize bug-free release cadence and developer experience.
• Enhance test automation through platform improvements or additional tests.
• Maintain good quality documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in a pairing-first development team, sharing and learning skills.
• Mentor and coach less experienced team members through design and code reviews.
• Participate in open conversations about technical design and implementation.
• Assess application security compliance with Client Application Security Standards.
• Evaluate APIs for compliance with relevant Client API Standards.
