Software Engineer

Mindbox is a tech-driven company connecting top IT talents with technology projects for leading enterprises across Europe. The role is part of the Developer Experience & Platform Engineering team, focusing on DevOps, platform engineering, and developer productivity.

• 8+ years in software engineering roles with strong focus on DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
• Solid understanding of microservice architectures and underlying principles including DNS, TLS, load balancing, proxies, service mesh, and API gateways.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or Clojure (structured & OOP).
• Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana and InfluxDB, and time-series data concepts.
• Track record of managing critical production incidents under pressure.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated deployments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across distributed teams.

Nice to have:

• Linux/Unix administration and networking knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with virtualisation platforms (KVM, VMware).
• Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Translate business needs into technical deliverables, working closely with product owners to define requirements.
• Own the entire delivery lifecycle – from design through deployment and production support.
• Build robust, observable microservice-based solutions aligned with Agile and DevOps principles.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues quickly, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes.
• Act as a technical consultant for engineering teams, unblocking adoption issues and improving workflows.
• Continuously identify and reduce technical debt, ensure security posture and compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
