Site Reliability Engineer II (Apptio)

IBM is building its next generation cloud platform focused on delivering performance and predictability at a global scale. The company leads in analytics, security, hardware, and software designs, providing clients with full end-to-end transformation.

• Expertise in large-scale, distributed Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Strong experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and DataDog.
• Proficiency in declarative infrastructure tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams adopting GitOps and CI/CD principles.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills in English.

Key Duties:

• Participate in development and maintenance of large-scale Internal Developer Platform (IDP) based on Kubernetes.
• Partner with development teams and program managers to deliver mission-critical services.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to assess and provide workarounds for production issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively.
• Work with support and development teams to identify and resolve issues and plan integration tasks to enhance system performance.
• Respond promptly to production issues and alerts to maintain system availability.
