Software Development Engineer II

The App Platform Engineering team builds and maintains the foundational mobile and web platform used by over 20 product teams, owning architecture, shared frameworks, build and release infrastructure, design system, and developer tooling. The role reports to a senior engineering manager in Krakow and collaborates with teams in Poland and the U.S.

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience with 4+ years building products at scale
• Proficiency in TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React or React Native)
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, or similar)
• Hands-on experience owning the full mobile or web release lifecycle
• Experience designing data layers between backend services and client apps (GraphQL, BFF patterns, or similar API contracts)
• Exposure to design systems at scale

Nice to have:

• Experience with backend languages: Go, Java, or Kotlin
• React Native knowledge including performance constraints, native bridge, OS-level differences
• Experience contributing to shared platforms, frameworks, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience onboarding teams onto platforms with good documentation and well-designed APIs
• Informed opinions on client app spectrum from full native to PWA

• Own the architecture and evolution of the mobile and web platform used by 20+ product teams
• Contribute to design and implementation of future client apps architecture
• Lead the shared component library, design system, accessibility (a11y), and localisation engine in partnership with UX
• Enable product teams through documentation, tooling, and architecture reviews
• Help the team stay current on React Native and AI-assisted development
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, feature flagging, and safe rollout infrastructure from pipeline design to app store delivery
• Mentor junior engineers and uphold quality standards, including regulatory compliance
