Senior Cloud Data Engineer (GCP)

ITFS is a consulting company from the Tricity area with a branch in Warsaw. It focuses primarily on IT specialist recruitment and creating project-based Software Houses for clients from Poland and Western Europe.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in engineering, preferably data engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL, including stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers
• Minimum 5 years of experience with cloud platforms, including at least 2 years with GCP (BigQuery and Dataform) focusing on data modeling and query optimization
• Knowledge of version control systems: Git, Bitbucket, or Azure Repos
• Experience with data warehouses and ETL processes
• Ability to integrate various data sources
• Good knowledge of Oracle analytical functions
• English language proficiency at B2+ level

Nice to have:

• Higher education in computer science or related fields
• Knowledge of Tableau
• Experience with SAP and SAP BW
• Experience working in Agile environments

• Implementing new functionalities and logic in the Google Cloud Platform environment (mainly BigQuery and Dataform)
• Working with relational and multidimensional databases
• Scaling solutions, optimizing code, debugging, and quality control after deployment regarding performance and cost efficiency in GCP
• Developing and optimizing data transformation and loading processes
• Migrating and modernizing existing Oracle data structures to BigQuery using native cloud functions
• Using standard pipeline components and proposing improvements in data engineering methodology
• Ensuring compliance with data privacy and security regulations
• Collaborating with data analysts and business to refine requirements and with integration and data & analytics teams for automatic data lineage mapping during migration
