Solution Architect – Legal Operations (Part-time)

We are supporting a global pharmaceutical and diagnostics organization within the Legal Operations domain. The Legal Operations portfolio provides the global digital foundation for legal processes across the enterprise. The strategic objective is to accelerate the digital transformation of the legal function by improving efficiency, collaboration, and compliance across internal and external stakeholders. The scope includes Legal, Compliance & Group Communications, with a strong focus on building a scalable, secure, and fully integrated digital ecosystem aligned with enterprise IT standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, or equivalent experience
• 7–10+ years of IT experience in solution architecture and enterprise system design
• Strong domain expertise in Legal & Compliance systems, including Matter Management, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), Legal Spend Management, Document Management Systems (DMS)
• Proven experience with SaaS ecosystems and vendor-driven architecture
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP Cloud)
• Knowledge of integration patterns (middleware, ESB/EAI, APIs)
• Familiarity with data platforms and databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake)
• Understanding of security, DevOps, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture principles
• Experience producing architectural documentation (UML, HLD, LLD)
• Ability to quickly evaluate new technologies and assess business impact
• Strong stakeholder management in international and multicultural environments
• Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex architecture to diverse audiences
• Ability to balance long-term architectural vision with short-term delivery constraints

Nice to Have / Additional Experience:

• Salesforce ecosystem (Service Cloud, Experience Cloud)
• ServiceNow platform architecture
• MuleSoft or similar integration platforms
• JavaScript development background
• Exposure to AI/automation initiatives in enterprise environments

• Analyze, evaluate, and integrate SaaS solutions ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and business priorities
• Lead cross-domain architectural discussions with developers, vendors, internal IT teams, and architecture governance bodies
• Own architecture design decisions and ensure consistency across Legal Operations solutions
• Conduct architecture reviews of existing systems and drive technical debt reduction and continuous improvement
• Research, assess, and lead proof-of-concept initiatives for new technologies and platforms
• Define non-functional requirements and evaluate vendor capabilities and integration readiness
• Translate business requirements into scalable and secure technical architecture designs
• Own and maintain Solution Architecture documentation (HLD/LLD, UML where applicable)
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Enterprise Architects to define solution intent and maximize business value
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and digital innovation within Legal Operations
• Ensure end-to-end integration alignment across cloud, middleware, security, and infrastructure layers
