DevOps Engineer

Duco is an enterprise data automation platform company headquartered in London with offices in New York, Wroclaw, Singapore, and Antwerp. It serves large global financial institutions including over 15 of the world's largest international banks, brokers, exchanges, asset managers, hedge funds, administrators, service providers, and corporates. The company aims to reduce the time spent on data-related work by 90% by automating data controls using no-code, cloud, and AI technologies.

• 5+ years in DevOps, Platform, or Build Engineering specializing in large-scale CI/CD and developer workflow optimization.
• Proven experience designing observability systems using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Jaeger/Tempo, OpenTelemetry, Honeycomb.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, and Golang for automation and internal tools.
• Experience designing and operating production CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.
• Knowledge of modern build and packaging technologies including Docker, container optimization, caching, and artifact management.
• Experience working in cross-functional initiatives, writing shared libraries, and establishing practices and standards.
• Relevant certifications in DevOps, Kubernetes, AWS are a plus.

• Design and implement unified logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and OpenTelemetry.
• Establish service level objectives (SLOs), dashboards, and alerting frameworks for proactive incident response.
• Create internal observability tools to help engineering teams instrument services, diagnose issues, and self-serve monitoring needs.
• Troubleshoot production issues hands-on and lead long-term remediation through root cause analysis and improved signal coverage; participate in on-call duty.
• Contribute to reliable CI/CD delivery pipelines and maintain reusable templates using GitLab CI, Flux, and Helm.
• Ensure observability and delivery tooling integrates seamlessly with Kubernetes and cloud services.
• Collaborate across teams to standardize instrumentation practices and raise observability standards organization-wide.
