Backend Developer (Golang + AWS)

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join an exciting project for a US-based client operating in the gaming industry. This is an opportunity to work within an international environment, building scalable backend solutions and event-driven systems for a fast-growing product.

• 3+ years of commercial experience in backend development
• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang)
• Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Cognito, ECS)
• Practical experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven systems
• Experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Familiarity with LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir)
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and eventual consistency
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to design scalable and high-performance backend systems
• Very good English communication skills (spoken and written)

Nice to have:

• Experience working in startup environments or building MVP products
• Passion for gaming and gaming-related products
• Interest in or experience with TTRPGs (Tabletop Role-Playing Games)

• Design and develop backend services and REST APIs in Go.
• Build and maintain serverless solutions on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, ECS).
• Develop and support Kafka-based event-driven workflows.
• Design efficient DynamoDB data models and optimize data access patterns.
• Manage infrastructure using Terraform.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and tracing using the LGTM stack.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
• Ensure security, performance, and operational excellence across backend systems.
