Full Stack Software Engineer

With over $400M raised from multiple tier-one investors, their technology provides a comprehensive solution for managing global workforces in over 160 countries. The Financial Compliance engineering team connects external systems, enforces data integrity, and exposes reliable APIs, working on distributed systems and relational data at scale.

• Fluency in IntelliJ, VSCode, or (Neo)Vim IDEs
• Solid production experience with backend systems in Java, Spring, HTTP APIs, and relational databases
• Working knowledge of frontend development in TypeScript and React
• Active use of AI-powered development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex)
• Working knowledge of AWS services: S3, SQS, SES
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation
• Consideration of non-functional requirements such as availability, reliability, security, and observability
• Ability to write clean, readable code and maintain standards through code reviews
• Fluent written and spoken English

• Build and maintain backend services in Java/Spring Boot including APIs, integrations with external systems, and data processing/storage in relational databases
• Work with AWS services (S3, SQS, SES) as an integral part of building and connecting systems
• Contribute to frontend interfaces in TypeScript/React (approximately 20% of time)
• Participate in technical and architectural discussions
• Write clean, well-tested code and maintain quality through code reviews and pair programming
• Own observability of services to catch bugs proactively
• Collaborate closely with Product, DevOps, and other engineering teams to deliver end-to-end features
• Work in Scrum with the team
