Tableau Cloud Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tableau Cloud Administrator to manage, optimize, and secure our Tableau Cloud environment. The person in this role will ensure reliable access to analytics, support best practices for content and user management, and collaborate with stakeholders to enable data-driven decision making across the organisation.

• Proven experience administering Tableau Cloud.
• Strong understanding of Tableau permissions model, Site Roles, project structure, and data source management.
• Experience with identity providers (SAML/SSO), authentication flows, and role-based access control.
• Familiarity with API-driven automation (Tableau REST API, Metadata API) and scripting for administrative tasks.
• Knowledge of data connectivity options, data extract management, and performance tuning for visualisations.
• Analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications or formal training in Tableau administration or cloud platform operations are advantageous.
• Fluency in English for both written and verbal communication.

• Administer and maintain the Tableau Cloud environment, including user accounts, permissions, and site configuration.
• Implement and enforce governance policies, security controls, and access management to protect data assets.
• Monitor platform performance, usage metrics, and health checks; troubleshoot incidents and coordinate with vendor support when required.
• Manage content lifecycle: workbooks, data sources, projects and schedules; apply naming conventions and folder structures to support discoverability.
• Automate routine administrative tasks and scheduling where possible, using available APIs and platform tools.
• Provide guidance and training to analysts and report authors on publishing standards, metadata, and performance optimisation.
• Collaborate with data engineering, security, and business teams to align Tableau Cloud configuration with organisational requirements and compliance standards.
• Maintain documentation of configuration, processes, runbooks and incident resolutions for continuity and knowledge sharing.
