Solution Design Manager - Manufacturing Procurement

Bayer is implementing the CORE (Customer Oriented Resilient Enterprise) program, a multi-year, strategic business-led, IT-enabled global initiative to develop an end-to-end business enabled by a resilient technical backbone. The role involves partnering with Manufacturing and Source-to-Pay value streams to design future Grower Management solutions for Manufacturing Procurement within this program.

• Several years of experience in related enterprise systems, particularly Procurement
• Proven experience in solution design and architecture
• Executes responsibilities with accuracy, persistence, resilience, and creativity, working independently and collaboratively
• Deep understanding of Procurement Processes in SAP products such as purchase contracts, purchase orders, service entry sheets (lean services), MIRO invoices, MMPU
• Understanding of the life-science industry (non-regulated), especially seeds business and grower management
• Demonstrated leadership, motivation, interpersonal skills, and experience driving change in global matrix organizations
• Strong communication, analytical, structural problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Willingness to travel as needed

• Partner with Manufacturing and Source-to-Pay value streams of CORE to design the future Grower Management solution for Manufacturing Procurement
• Govern and monitor external suppliers’ software development, establishing and enforcing technical guardrails
• Redefine and rebuild Bayer's processes in a greenfield approach aligned to CORE principles
• Support decision-making for functional and technical topics across multiple deployments, ensuring CORE solution integrity and adherence to guidelines
• Build, onboard, and train the expanded global solution design team and IT Hubs
• Lead System Integrator Teams in agile workstreams; coach and collaborate with onshore and offshore/factory scrum teams to ensure high-quality implementation of change requests within guardrails
• Maintain excellent knowledge and experience of Bayer’s Manufacturing and related state-of-the-art market IT solutions, including S/4HANA

Minimum annual gross compensation is 20,240 PLN, with final pay based on experience, qualifications, scope of responsibility, and internal alignment.
