Mid-Level Java Engineer

The Sports Data & Odds Engineering organization at Sportradar develops, delivers, and operates a broad portfolio of products powering a global sports data and betting ecosystem. The teams build and maintain highly scalable systems processing millions of real-time events daily across more than 30 sports disciplines, including e-sports. Development teams in Warsaw and Wrocław contribute to distributed systems operating at global scale, delivering mission-critical services available 24/7.

• 2+ years of professional software development experience with production Java software
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
• Understanding of object-oriented design principles and their application
• Comfortable working in an agile team and communicating with engineers and stakeholders
• Genuine curiosity about technology, domain, and colleagues
• Experience with AWS, Kafka, Docker, or Kubernetes is a bonus; willingness to learn is equally valued

• Build and maintain high-performance Java services for sports data and betting products running 24/7 at global scale
• Work across the full stack of features including design, implementation, testing, and production with team support
• Contribute to cloud-native solutions on AWS and learn about distributed systems under real load
• Collaborate on architecture and design discussions from day one
• Write clean, well-tested code and improve it through peer review and feedback
• Develop deep domain expertise in a technically demanding real-time environment
• Work closely with senior engineers, embrace TDD practices, and grow through pair programming and collaborative problem-solving
