Senior PHP Engineer

Lendable is a UK-based fintech company with over 700 employees, profitable since 2017, backed by investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs. The company has rebuilt major consumer finance products such as loans, credit cards, and car finance, aiming to expand in the UK and US markets.

• Strong, modern PHP development experience (PHP 8.0+ required)
• Ideally 8+ years of experience
• Good understanding of modern PHP frameworks like Symfony or Laravel
• Experience with Domain Driven Design, Message-Driven Systems, and Event Sourcing is a plus
• Experience with microservices is a plus
• Strong automatic testing skills (unit, integration, functional)
• Desire to learn and contribute in a collaborative team
• Experience in cross-functional environments is a plus but not required

• Build and integrate new APIs to enhance the customer journey
• Optimize lending platforms
• Engage in deep architectural discussions
• Work across teams including Zable Card, Autolend, Lendable Loans, and Internal Tools
