Senior React Native Developer

Assertis is a profitable, privately-owned company building software for public transport — journey planning, rail ticket retailing, and real-time information. The company has been operating for 25 years and handles over 1 million journey searches daily, selling £200m worth of UK train tickets each year, about 5% of all train tickets sold online in the UK. Assertis is a distributed team across the UK, Poland, and Italy, with an average technical team tenure of five years.

• Strong React Native experience with shipped apps on both iOS and Android
• Ability to build polished, performant mobile experiences
• Comfortable communicating in English for daily collaboration across a distributed team
• Demonstrated ability to build good apps, regardless of years of experience

• Build and ship a production React Native app from scratch
• Own technical decisions on architecture, tooling, and patterns
• Collaborate with frontend and backend teams on shared design systems and API integration
• Work directly with the in-house API without third-party dependencies
