Sr. Software Engineer (Laravel, Horizon)

Founded in 2023, RevReply is an AI-powered sales engagement platform focused on responding to inbound prospects automatically, intelligently, and at scale. The platform integrates deeply with CRM systems, calendars, email providers, and sales tools to automate the entire inbound qualification and meeting-booking process. The company is seeking a Senior Staff PHP Laravel Engineer with experience building CRM, Sales Engagement, Revenue Operations, Lead Management, Marketing Automation, or Sales Enablement software. This role works directly with the CTO and will play a key role in designing and scaling the next generation of the platform.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on PHP development.
• 5+ years of Laravel development in production environments.
• 5+ years designing and architecting enterprise software systems.
• 3+ years acting as primary technical architect on major applications.
• 3+ years building CRM, sales engagement, marketing automation, or revenue operations software.
• Deep understanding of B2B sales processes including leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities, pipelines, sequences, cadences, SDR workflows, sales qualification, meeting booking, and CRM synchronization.
• 3+ years operating Laravel Horizon, Amazon SQS, Kafka, or similar technologies.
• Experience designing systems with retry handling, fault tolerance, distributed job processing, and horizontal scaling.
• Experience integrating with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and HubSpot.
• Experience consuming and publishing webhooks.
• Experience troubleshooting production integration failures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience processing millions of messages and jobs reliably.
• Prior startup experience as an early engineering hire.
• Experience building SaaS products from 0 to 1000+ customers.
• Experience with AI-powered applications and LLM integrations.
• Experience building email automation platforms.
• Experience building calendar scheduling systems.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures.
• Experience handling production incidents as the primary escalation point.

CRM and Sales Workflow Development:

• Design and build CRM and sales workflow functionality including lead lifecycle management, lead stages, account management, opportunity tracking, pipeline management, sales activity tracking, task and workflow automation, prospect engagement systems, meeting booking and scheduling systems, and AI-powered automation workflows.

Enterprise Integrations:

• Design and maintain integrations with Salesforce and HubSpot.
• Build and maintain REST APIs, webhook-based integrations, and event-driven architectures.
• Manage synchronization between multiple systems of record.

Messaging & Queue Architecture:

• Design and operate large-scale asynchronous processing systems using Laravel Horizon, Amazon SQS, Redis Queues, and event-driven architectures.
• Responsible for queue scaling strategies, retry management, message ordering, high-volume email workflows, SMS processing workflows, monitoring, and alerting.
• Design systems that guarantee message delivery and prevent message loss under high load.

Architecture & Scalability:

• Partner with the CTO to design platform architecture.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and improve system reliability.
• Reduce infrastructure costs and improve deployment velocity.
• Establish engineering standards.
