Senior Python Developer (+ React/TypeScript)

Working within the Cyber Data Services team, which is central to the Proactive Insurance product offering aimed at protecting policyholders from cyber security vulnerabilities and threats.

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Python application development.
• Knowledge of React or TypeScript.
• Experience integrating with ITSM platforms like Freshdesk and Freshchat.
• Ability to troubleshoot API calls and JSON payloads.
• Awareness of web frontend technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) for widget configuration.
• Experience configuring automations, workflows, SLAs, routing rules, and inbox logic.
• Ability to model data for operational and analytical purposes.
• Understanding of outbound communication flows including branding and template configuration.
• Experience contributing to CI/CD quality automation and test automation.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Experience mentoring and coaching team members.
• Ability to assess application security and API compliance with standards.

• Contribute using Python, Linux (via WSL), PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Databricks, and Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Integrate with ITSM platforms like Freshdesk & Freshchat APIs (REST, webhooks).
• Troubleshoot API calls, JSON payloads, and integration issues.
• Collaborate on web frontend widget configuration using HTML/CSS/JS.
• Configure automations, workflows, SLAs, routing rules, and inbox logic.
• Model data for operational and analytical purposes in collaboration with teams.
• Understand outbound communication flows including branding and template configuration.
• Contribute to quality automation in CI/CD processes.
• Enhance test automation or add additional tests.
• Maintain quality documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in pairing-first development and knowledge sharing.
• Mentor and coach less experienced team members through design and code reviews.
• Engage in open conversations about technical design and implementation.
• Assess application security compliance with Client Application Security Standards.
• Evaluate APIs for compliance with Client API Standards.
