Senior Network Engineer

International company operating in the fields of healthcare, agriculture, and life sciences with a Digital Hub in Warsaw.

• Minimum 6 years of experience in computer networking (both traditional and cloud environments) and experience with AWS (knowledge of Azure or GCP is a plus).
• Strong experience in computer networks including routing, VPN, hybrid connectivity, switching, firewall, load balancer, SD-WAN, and network architecture.
• Very good knowledge of Python.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools like Grafana and Wireshark.
• Experience with Linux.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.
• Higher technical education in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Very good command of English (minimum B2 level).

Nice to have:

• Experience in system integrations and connectivity patterns.
• Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Knowledge of network security concepts.
• Experience with Kubernetes or container networking (especially EKS and AKS).
• Certifications such as CCNP or AWS Advanced Networking.

• Planning and managing networks connecting cloud environments (intra-cloud) and on-premises systems.
• Providing guidance and support in the implementation of networking solutions.
• Working closely with Squad Leads and other stakeholders to understand requirements and align integration strategies with business goals.
• Ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, maintainable, and secure, adhering to best practices in IT architecture and Bayer’s strategy.
• Creating, maintaining, and reviewing comprehensive documentation for processes, standards, and best practices.
• Fostering an environment of open communication and collaboration among diverse teams across different geographical locations.
