Java Developer z Kafką

We are a global team of full stack development engineers supporting an entirely in-house application called Falcon which provides the Electronic Trading functionality for our global Equities Flow Derivatives and Securities Financing Delta One trading businesses. The Krakow-based pod is part of the global electronic Equities Trading development team. The Krakow team focuses on migrating an on-prem risk management app based on Kafka to the GCP environment, responsible for cash equities position management and notional visualisation in real time.

• Expertise in Java development with at least 4 years of experience.
• Exposure to cloud technologies such as GCP and Terraform.
• Familiarity with TDD, continuous integration and delivery environment using Git, Gradle, Teamcity, and Github.
• Fluent English (minimum B2 level).

Nice to have:

• Experience with Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams.
• Experience with REST, messaging technologies, and JVM performance tuning.
• Knowledge of MongoDB.
• Interest in Equity or Equity Derivatives trading business.
• Trading or Risk analysis systems domain knowledge.
• Passion for software development outside of work through involvement in open source, working groups, meetups, etc.

• Development of new features.
• Speaking to the product owner (traders) to understand new feature requirements.
• Automating regression testing of new software.
• Frequent deployment of multiple software packages to production.
