Senior Modelling & Simulation Engineer

SoftServe is a company involved in building advanced Embodied AI and robotic systems using a Simulation-First approach to accelerate development and optimize performance. The role involves working on scalable, high-impact solutions across industries and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• 5+ years of professional experience in Python software development
• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Robotics, or a related field
• Strong experience in designing and implementing complex, efficient algorithms
• Solid knowledge of control theory, including MPC, MHE, LQG, Kalman filtering, and decentralized control
• Proficiency in mathematical optimization methods (NLP, QP, MILP)
• Experience with both first-principle and data-driven modeling of dynamic systems
• Deep understanding of numerical methods, concurrent programming, and component-based architectures
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services in software development
• Working knowledge of databases (SQLite, PostgreSQL)
• Comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments

• Create digital twins of real systems
• Model and optimize processes
• Design and develop complex control systems and solutions for various types of robotic systems
• Build multiple rapid prototypes and refine them into production-ready solutions
• Test robotic solutions both in simulated environments and real-world scenarios
• Design automated robotic systems to enhance production efficiency and precision within specific industries
• Research the latest trends and modern approaches in robotics, including navigation, sensing, and decision-making
