Lead Business Analyst (business travel to Iraq)

ELEKS is a custom software development company with over 2000 professionals across Eastern Europe, Europe, and North America. The company provides a full range of software engineering services including product development, QA, R&D, design, technology consulting, and dedicated teams. The project is funded by the US Government and focuses on developing a Human Resources System for various Ministries in a Middle Eastern country to enhance human resource management efficiency.

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis
• Proven leadership skills
• Experience with fixed-price projects
• Experience on midsize or large projects (10+ people)
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Experience conducting requirements elicitation sessions and familiarity with different elicitation techniques
• Strong business requirements building and management skills
• Capability to choose optimal requirements organization and modeling techniques
• Ability to see the big picture, plan work approach properly, and progress with small steps
• Ability to work independently, organize stakeholder management, and own BA process workflow
• Ability to adapt to project changes during the project flow
• Experience in process description, familiarity with BPMN notation and different process description tools
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Upper-Intermediate level of English
• Willing and able to undertake business travel to Iraq for periods of 4–6 weeks per visit

• Plan business analyst efforts on the complex project
• Define business needs and business change drivers
• Manage customer expectations and translate needs into effective solutions
• Elicit requirements using various BA techniques such as interviews, focus groups, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, task and workflow analysis
• Critically evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from underlying needs
• Document, analyze, and prioritize detailed business requirements based on users and business needs
• Proactively identify improvements to increase efficiency or productivity in work effort, processes, or application features
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders
• Plan and coordinate the BA team on the project
• Conduct BA team coaching and mentoring (subordinate RAs, BAs, QAs, etc.)
• Contribute to continuous improvement of business analysis practices and other procedures
• Develop requirements and other project documentation templates
• Conduct requirements audit
• Additionally: Coaching

Willing and able to undertake business travel to Iraq for periods of 4–6 weeks per visit.
