Senior Linux Systems Admin (Europe)

• Availability for weekday shifts and occasional weekend coverage.
• Experience with content delivery networks (CDN).
• Expert-level Linux administration skills, including optimizing Linux services, drivers, and the kernel.
• Knowledge of network and routing protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, BGP, and tunneling.
• Deep understanding of HTTP protocols and ability to troubleshoot HTTP and network issues.
• Experience with Varnish, Nginx, HAProxy, bird/quagga, Linux firewalls, and scripting languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills focused on high-quality customer service.
• Preferable security experience with WAF, DDoS, etc.

• Monitor and maintain virtual and physical Linux servers to ensure system performance and availability.
• Deploy new systems and improve/automate system deployment processes.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system issues, collaborating with teams and customers.
• Own specific aspects of the CDN to maintain high performance and availability.
• Improve infrastructure and customer documentation, and update processes for effective knowledge management.
• Enhance automation by adopting DevOps principles and contributing to internal configuration management tools.
• Mentor and assist other system engineers and architects.
