AI Systems Engineer

An American technology and engineering company specializing in advanced cooling systems and thermal energy management for critical infrastructure, including data centers, power generation, renewable energy, and the process industry. The company designs and manufactures high-performance heat exchangers and custom scalable cooling systems.

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Fluent English communication skills for collaboration with U.S.-based leadership and international teams
• Some professional, academic, or project experience building AI/ML or intelligent software systems
• Strong programming experience with Python and solid backend development concepts
• Clear understanding of APIs, databases, and software integration concepts
• Good understanding of modern AI concepts such as LLMs, RAG systems, embeddings/vector search, and AI workflow automation
• Strong problem-solving skills, willingness to learn new technologies, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving environment

Optional:

• Experience with AI frameworks/tools such as Ollama, LangChain, OpenAI APIs, FastAPI, PyTorch, or TensorFlow
• Experience with SQL databases and API development
• Familiarity with Linux, Docker, or GPU-based systems
• Exposure to ERP systems, manufacturing systems, automation, or operational software
• Experience with OCR, document intelligence, or AI-assisted business workflows

• Developing and maintaining AI-powered internal applications and services
• Building APIs, backend services, and integrations that support AI workflows
• Collaborating directly with the AI & Digital Innovation Lead on AI and software initiatives
• Assisting in projects involving Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, workflow automation, intelligent document processing, ERP data integrations, AI-assisted reporting, internal AI assistants, and knowledge systems
• Organizing, structuring, and optimizing operational data for AI usage
• Supporting deployment and maintenance of local and cloud-based AI infrastructure
• Participating in software design, testing, debugging, and documentation
• Continuously improving and automating business processes using AI technologies
