Art Director

Wojan Studio is an animation studio based in Warsaw, Poland, building an animation team to produce a family-oriented 3D animated feature film.

• 5+ years of experience as an Art Director in animation, film, TV, or games.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary art teams and defining visual direction of stylized animated productions.
• Strong understanding of the full 3D animation production pipeline from visual development to final delivery.
• Passion for animated storytelling aimed at younger audiences with significant achievements in children's or family-oriented productions.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

Pluses:

• Experience working on animated feature films, TV series, or high-end game cinematic productions.
• Credited on at least one released animated feature film, TV series, cinematic production, or comparable large-scale visual project in a senior artistic role.
• Strong background in traditional fine arts, with long-term experience in Concept Art, Visual Development, or Digital Painting.

• Develop and maintain the artistic vision of a 3D animated feature film.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of artists including Concept Artists, Animators, Environment Artists, and Lighting Artists.
• Establish and communicate visual direction through concept art, mood boards, color scripts, and visual references.
• Collaborate with Creative Director, Director, Producers, Investors, and Department Leads to define and maintain creative and visual direction.
• Review artistic work, provide constructive feedback, and mentor team members.
• Participate in key creative decisions regarding characters, environments, cinematography, lighting, color, and overall visual language.
• Ensure consistency of style, quality, and storytelling across all visual aspects.
• Guide visual development and oversee artistic quality from pre-production through final delivery.
