Middle Backend Developer (Node.js)

MasterBorn works with US clients from diverse industries such as FinTech, SportsTech, and MedTech. Their tech stack includes React, Node.js, and TypeScript, supporting well-established companies and startups in early stages (MVPs).

• 2+ years of commercial experience in Node.js
• Experience with at least one Node.js backend framework (e.g., Express.js, NestJS, Fastify)
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript including static typing and compiler configuration
• Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases, including ORM or query builder tools (e.g., Prisma, Knex)
• Understanding of AI/LLMs and hands-on experience integrating AI-powered backend features
• English language proficiency at B2 level
• Polish language proficiency at C1 level
• Open-mindedness to new challenges and frameworks
• Ability to prioritize MVP and high-quality outcomes under tight timelines
• Effective communication to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Strong problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

• Daily experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Basic experience with AWS services
• Basic experience with Docker for environment setup and debugging
• Experience in early product development stages

• Write readable, testable, and maintainable JavaScript/TypeScript code with OOP principles
• Take ownership of backend features from requirements through implementation, testing, and deployment
• Write documentation for delivered code and technical decisions
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Design and modify basic database structures and API contracts
• Propose pragmatic improvements and proactive solutions to enhance product and team processes
• Share insights to diagnose issues, communicate risks, and focus on solutions
• Participate actively in project discussions, refinements, and technical decision-making
