Data Engineer (MS SQL)

• Very good knowledge of MS SQL Server (2016+) and T-SQL
• Experience writing and optimizing advanced queries
• Experience creating stored procedures, views, functions, and SQL Agent jobs
• Experience building ETL processes in SSIS
• Knowledge of incremental load and CDC mechanisms
• Experience integrating data from SQL databases, CSV, Excel, and preferably APIs
• Strong understanding of data modeling in Data Warehouse/Data Mart
• Understanding of star schema, fact and dimension tables, surrogate keys, and SCD
• Experience with SSAS Tabular, Azure AS, or Power BI datasets
• Ability to create tabular models, relationships, and basic DAX measures
• Experience with partitions, model processing, and performance optimization
• Analytical thinking and ability to design solutions independently
• Ability to collaborate with business and gather requirements
• Focus on data quality and documentation
• Higher education degree
• Nice to have: advanced DAX, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, Power BI Service, DevOps knowledge, and experience with large data volumes

• Write and optimize advanced T-SQL queries including execution plans, indexes, and partitioning
• Create stored procedures, views, functions, and SQL Agent jobs
• Design and develop ETL processes using SSIS packages including data flow, control flow, error handling, and logging
• Integrate data from various sources such as SQL databases, CSV, Excel, and APIs
• Model data in Data Warehouse/Data Mart using star schema, fact and dimension tables, surrogate keys, and slowly changing dimensions
• Work with SSAS Tabular, Azure Analysis Services, and Power BI datasets
• Create tabular models, relationships, and basic DAX measures
• Manage partitions, model processing, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with business to gather requirements
• Maintain data quality and documentation
