Junior Backend Developer (Node.js)

MasterBorn is a company working with US clients from diverse industries such as FinTech, SportsTech, and MedTech. Their tech stack includes React, Node.js, and TypeScript. They collaborate with well-established companies and startups in early stages (MVPs), offering diverse and challenging projects.

• 6-12 months of commercial experience with Node.js
• Understanding of basic JavaScript concepts (ES 2018+), including Classes
• Basic experience with at least one Node.js backend framework (e.g., Express.js, NestJS, Fastify)
• Knowledge of OOP, SOLID and DRY principles, and design patterns
• Experience with SQL databases using ORM or query builder tools (e.g., Prisma, Knex)
• Ability to write code independently without AI support
• English language proficiency at B2/C1 level
• Polish language proficiency at C1 level
• Positive attitude, effective communication, openness to feedback and change
• Enthusiasm for learning and problem-solving

Nice to have:

• Open-source contributions
• Experience with TypeScript and various backend frameworks
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Knowledge of MVP significance and delivering results under tight timelines
• Familiarity with AWS and serverless technologies
• Experience running and using Docker images

• Write personal-best JavaScript/TypeScript code with OOP principles
• Participate in technical product involvement to find improvements
• Write documentation for delivered code
• Conduct peer code reviews
• Reuse and improve the company knowledge base
• Communicate with the team to translate business complexity into solutions
• Engage in continuous learning
