Azure Cloud Platform Engineer

• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud platform features and capabilities
• Expertise in container technologies like Kubernetes
• Expertise in HashiCorp products such as Terraform and Vault
• Hands-on experience with multi-node configuration tools like Puppet, Saltstack, Ansible
• Exposure to automated build pipelines, CI/CD, and experience implementing tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, GoCD
• Good command line skills in at least one of Python, Powershell, Bash, JSON
• Awareness of monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, and SiteScope
• Good experience with Linux
• Experience delivering in Agile environments
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice to have:

• Vendor certifications such as Microsoft Azure Admin, Dev, or Architect
• HashiCorp certification
• Knowledge of general IT infrastructure topics including server platforms, private cloud and virtualization, storage and networking, security (e.g., Identity, Encryption, PKI)
• Some knowledge of software development processes and application architecture

• Maintaining cloud services according to best practices and ensuring correct deployment in the cloud environment while championing automation
• Working on large scale, technically challenging projects
• Using open-source technology, CI/CD, and modern software architectures such as microservices
• Supporting and improving business capabilities, processes, and applications in the cloud
• Building supportable, sustainable, and reliable services
• Defining and maintaining technical designs according to Cloud best practices
• Championing agile delivery automation
• Expanding knowledge, relationships, and certifications with Cloud partners, fully supported by the company
