Sr. Data Analyst, Growth

The data team at Kraken serves as the infrastructure layer beneath every product decision, supporting experienced traders, institutions, and newcomers in the crypto space.

• 10+ years of experience in data analytics or analytics engineering, preferably in fintech, payments, crypto, or high-scale marketplaces.
• Proven experience building and owning data infrastructure at scale, including pipeline and model ownership.
• Deep expertise with dbt in production environments.
• Strong experience managing ELT/ETL pipelines end to end, with familiarity with Airflow or equivalent tools.
• Mastery of SQL and strong Python proficiency for pipeline development and production-grade code.
• Hands-on experience designing, running, and owning experimentation programs including A/B testing and causal inference.
• Experience deploying AI tools including LLM-augmented pipelines or GenAI-assisted workflows.
• Track record of influencing technical direction and data strategy.
• Strong communication skills for simplifying complex data concepts for diverse audiences.
• Degree in a field emphasizing analytical rigor such as software engineering, economics, or hard science.
• Based in Canada, the US, the UK, or the EU and fluent in English.

• Solid understanding of the cryptocurrency space and financial markets.

• Operate as a full-stack data analyst within the Growth team, owning the domain completely and collaborating across the pod.
• Own the design and evolution of dashboards, north star metrics, and analytical frameworks driving high-level business decisions.
• Build and maintain scalable data infrastructure including dbt models and production pipelines.
• Lead experimentation by designing and owning A/B testing frameworks and applying causal inference techniques.
• Influence technical direction across the data team, prioritizing data quality and engineering standards.
• Embed AI tooling such as LLM-augmented pipelines and GenAI-assisted workflows with measurable business impact.
• Deliver clear, data-driven storytelling to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
