Junior Functional & C++ Developer

SquareOne operates in the financial markets and trading systems industry, focusing on high-performance analytics platforms used in financial markets environments. The project involves collaboration with trading desks and quantitative development teams within a regulated banking context.

• Student (minimum 3rd year) in Computer Science or related technical field
• Solid understanding of core computer science concepts: algorithms, data structures, and computational complexity
• Strong willingness to learn functional programming, with emphasis on Haskell
• Practical knowledge of at least one programming language from the following: Haskell, C++, Agda, Clojure, F#, PureScript
• Mandatory: working knowledge of C++
• Ability to work in a structured, regulated environment (financial services / banking context is a plus)
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Readiness to work on high-performance, low-latency systems

• Development and continuous enhancement of the high-performance analytics platform
• Implementation of software components in C++ and Haskell
• Execution of development tasks under semi-guided supervision
• Collaboration with Core engineering team on long-term platform evolution
• Delivery of efficient, stable, and high-performance software solutions
• Participation in technical discussions with traders and quantitative developers
• Contribution to system improvements in terms of performance, reliability, and maintainability
