Senior Kotlin Developer

Scalo is engaged in projects related to the e-commerce industry, working in an international environment. The role involves creating and maintaining backend services using modern Kotlin technologies and collaborating with Product Owners and team members to design business-aligned solutions.

• Minimum 6 years of experience programming in Kotlin
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with AWS cloud services
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code approach
• Experience in creating and maintaining backend services using Spring Boot or similar frameworks
• Experience working with SQL databases, including PostgreSQL and Oracle DB
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, e.g., Jenkins
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Ability to work in Agile environments and collaborate with product and technical teams
• Proficiency in English for working in an international team
• Experience with Python is a plus
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools like Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus is a plus
• Experience optimizing performance and reliability in large, distributed enterprise systems is a plus

• Participate in e-commerce projects within an international environment
• Develop and maintain backend services using Kotlin and modern technologies
• Collaborate with Product Owners and team members to design solutions meeting business needs
• Engage in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes
• Ensure reliability and performance of applications used by internal stakeholders
• Work remotely with occasional fully paid workshops in Kraków (1-2 times per year)
