Windows System Engineer

• 7-12 years of Systems Engineering experience with Microsoft Windows Desktop and VDI environments.
• Strong hands-on experience in End User Computing (EUC), focusing on Windows desktop operating systems and enterprise desktop management.
• Proven experience leading and supporting large-scale Windows 10 to Windows 11 migration projects including planning, deployment, application compatibility, testing, and user transition.
• Extensive experience engineering, administering, and supporting Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS).
• Deep knowledge of Windows OS internals, Windows 10 and Windows 11 architecture, Group Policy, Active Directory, and desktop security best practices.
• Experience managing large-scale physical and virtual desktop environments across enterprise organizations.
• PowerShell scripting skills as the primary automation and administration tool.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) for Windows OS deployment, patch management, software distribution, compliance, and endpoint lifecycle management.

• Work primarily on VDI and Windows 11 products such as virtual applications and virtual desktops.
• Engineer on-premises Microsoft desktop operating systems.
• Perform 70% BAU tasks including deploying new versions of Citrix and Windows, upgrades, and maintaining Windows environments and virtual desktop infrastructure.
• Provide and deploy sustainable and configurable solutions for the existing platform following escalations from BAU tasks.
• Use engineering and scripting skills to support and provide infrastructure solutions for deployment issues.
