Backend Developer (Python) | Remote

• Deep knowledge of Python including runtime model, async internals, memory, typing, and packaging.
• Experience with backend systems including REST and async APIs, PostgreSQL schema design and query performance, message queues, workers, and service-to-service integration.
• Domain ownership mentality with responsibility for shipped features and understanding business context.
• Ability to break down ambiguous problems into scoped, risk-aware iterations.
• Clear and calibrated communication skills adapted to different audiences.
• Self-awareness about skill versus experience and willingness to share and seek knowledge.

Nice to have:

• Experience with WhatsApp Business Platform.
• Background in B2B SaaS or messaging/communication platforms.
• Familiarity with GCP, Cloud SQL, or similar managed infrastructure setups.

• Work on backend systems supporting partner and client APIs, WhatsApp channel lifecycle, billing, and integrations.
• Own domains and shape system architecture.
• Ensure backend services are correct, observable, and maintainable.
• Collaborate closely with a small, experienced team and leadership.
