Manager / Managerka Aplikacji API

LUX MED Sp. z o.o. is a company with an IT division of over 650 specialists who implement and maintain IT solutions supporting medical professionals and patient services. The IT teams work in over 20 scrum teams using agile methodologies, collaborating closely with Product Owners. The company promotes knowledge sharing, flexibility in choosing solutions, and encourages proposing new methods and technologies.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in API Management, system integration, or IT architecture.
• Experience working with API Gateways and API Management platforms (e.g., Azure API Management, Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway).
• Good knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and ITIL/ITSM processes.
• Strong understanding of REST, SOAP, OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Awareness of API security risks and mitigation practices.
• Experience analyzing API quality and evaluating technical documentation.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Capability to create clear policies, standards, and recommendations.
• Independence, consistency, and responsibility.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of product-oriented API development (API as a product, consumers, business value).
• Experience in microservices or distributed architecture environments.
• Experience working in complex organizational structures and collaborating with development teams, architects, and system owners.

• Establish, develop, and enforce API Governance, standards, procedures, and best practices throughout the API lifecycle.
• Coordinate the API lifecycle including creation, publication, maintenance, versioning, deprecation, and retirement.
• Oversee API compliance with architectural, quality, and security requirements, including group mandates.
• Recommend, implement, and develop a central API Catalog covering metadata, lifecycle, classification, and ownership.
• Conduct governance gate processes including API publication approvals and documentation reviews.
• Organize periodic reviews of the API portfolio and service exposure with risk and dependency assessments.
• Collaborate with architects, development teams, cybersecurity, Product Owners, and API owners.
• Support integration initiatives by designing consistent, reusable APIs aligned with standards.
• Monitor and report API status, risks, and recommendations, including security aspects such as OWASP API Security.
• Continuously improve API Governance processes by creating checklists, forms, and supporting tools.
