IT Audit Manager

HSBC Technology Poland is seeking an IT Audit Manager to join their Global Internal Audit team. The role involves evaluating risk management, control, and governance processes within HSBC Europe, focusing on governance, resilience, technology, regulatory, and reputational risks. The position supports continuous monitoring activities and the development of new audit practices such as data analytics and process mining.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related field.
• 4+ years of IT-related experience, preferably in financial services, including internal/external audit, risk assurance, internal control, IT operations, service management, software development, or cybersecurity.
• Relevant certification such as CISA or CIA preferred.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Strong English writing and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze, review, and visualize large data sets using data analytics.
• Strong curiosity and critical analysis skills to identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
• Proactive team player who leads by example and collaborates across Global Internal Audit.
• Ability to handle multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.

• Lead and support IT audits to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and review management actions to close gaps.
• Draft audit findings and reports based on fieldwork and align with key stakeholders within Group Internal Audit.
• Present audit results to key stakeholders, including senior management.
• Ensure audit work meets internal standards and external stakeholder expectations, including regulators.
• Monitor and validate management's remediation of audit issues.
• Contribute to the development of auditing tools using data analytics or Artificial Intelligence.
• Support continuous monitoring activities to maintain up-to-date risk assessments of business activities.
• Maintain current knowledge of emerging industry and regulatory topics.
