Senior IT/Data Analyst

Diverse CG Sp. z o.o. Sp.k. is hiring for a senior IT/Data Analyst role based in Gdynia, Poland, working in a hybrid mode. The position involves working within complex data-driven environments and collaborating with international, cross-functional teams.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT analysis, data analysis, business analysis, or a similar role within complex data-driven environments
• Strong hands-on expertise in SQL, including advanced querying, data analysis, query optimisation, and working with complex relational database structures
• Strong experience with Big Data platforms and technologies, including Hadoop, Hive, Impala, PySpark, and/or HQL
• Solid hands-on experience with ETL/data processing, including loading, transforming, retrieving, validating, and analysing data
• Strong experience in data testing, data validation, data quality checks, and verifying whether data structures and outputs meet business requirements
• Strong Data Analyst skillset, including investigative data analysis, data modelling, requirements analysis, and translating data insights into clear business and technical requirements
• Good understanding of Data Science concepts and ability to apply them in data analysis, problem solving, and data-driven solution design
• Experience working with JSON data format and standardised data models such as Canonical Data Model
• Experience in defining, analysing, refining, and documenting business and technical requirements in a clear and structured way
• Experience using Jira and Bitbucket for project tracking and version control
• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, developers, architects, and IT analysts
• Experience working in agile, international, cross-functional teams
• Proactive, structured, detail-oriented, and quality-driven approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Nice to have:

• Finance background and/or banking experience
• Experience with AVRO data format
• DBA-related experience with DB2 and Oracle databases
• Practical experience with Python and/or Java

• Perform IT analysis, investigative data analysis, system design, and data modelling to support development teams
• Lead or facilitate functional and non-functional requirements gathering, analysis, and refinement across multiple stakeholders
• Translate business needs and technical requirements into clear, structured, and understandable documentation
• Ensure alignment, transparency, and common understanding of requirements between IT and business teams
• Build a strong contextual understanding of business processes, as well as functional and technical knowledge of existing solutions
• Analyse data models and assess how data is consumed by development teams
• Verify whether data structures, data flows, and available data meet business requirements
• Support ETL/data processing, data validation, and data testing activities from an analytical perspective
• Collaborate closely with developers, architects, IT analysts, and business stakeholders
• Support agile delivery in international, cross-functional, and virtual teams
• Contribute to the design of sustainable, scalable, and value-adding data solutions
