Mechanical Engineer & Python Expert - Freelance AI Trainer

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of research, applied, or teaching experience.
• Proficiency in Python for writing reference solutions.
• Fluency with or strong willingness to learn scriptable mechanical engineering packages such as Cantera, CoolProp, CalculiX, OpenFAST, YADE, or similar.
• Ability to design problems requiring specialized solvers.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1+).

Nice to have:

• Prior experience with the listed specialized tools (not mandatory).

• Pick an anchor tool and design a problem that hinges on its solvers, simulation kernels, or domain-specific models.
• Write a Python reference solution, supply input files and geometry or mechanism definitions where needed.
• Decide the numerical answer and define domain-appropriate tolerance for correctness.
• Test the problem against the AI model in batches, tuning difficulty to achieve a 10–30% pass rate.
• Collaborate with a senior reviewer for feedback to ensure task quality.
• Tune thermodynamic cycles, material models, and boundary conditions based on agent performance.
