Data Engineer

We produce globally recognized brands and operate in approximately 70 countries worldwide. This role is part of the Bucharest Innovation Hub of Procter & Gamble, a company leveraging innovation and technology in marketing and supply chain.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience in data engineering, data science, or related field.
• Proficiency with data architecture and data processing tools.
• Working knowledge of Azure Databricks and Unity Catalog (must-have).
• Hands-on experience with GCP (BigQuery, Composer, Dataplex, IAM) and Terraform (nice-to-have).
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience integrating data quality tooling into CI/CD pipelines.
• Certifications such as Azure Associate Data Engineer (DP-203), Databricks Professional Data Engineer, Apache Spark Developer Associate, Professional Data Engineer – Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Partner with data asset managers, architects, and development leads to ensure technical solutions align with architecture blueprints.
• Build and operate GCP data pipelines (BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataplex).
• Contribute to the evolution of the enterprise data lake toward open table formats and self-serve data sharing.
• Operate and extend data quality tooling (Anomalo) across all service lines, embedding quality checks into CI/CD.
• Maintain and improve cross-cloud data sharing between GCP and Azure Databricks, including Lakehouse Federation.
• Develop reusable Terraform templates and contribute to self-serve project provisioning and policy guardrails.
• Identify, design, and implement cost-reduction and process-improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to and uphold coding standards and best practices to ensure services and components are efficient and reusable.
