Senior Engineer - Infrastructure Lead

The role is part of a global technology organization focused on Digital Business Automation, responsible for critical platforms with a global footprint in regulated industries such as banking, fintech, and insurance.

• 3+ years in team leadership, providing technical direction in enterprise environments.
• Proven track record of transforming a team into a high-performing function.
• Strong expertise in DBA (Oracle, Postgres) and/or Unix/Linux.
• Experience maintaining highly available, low-latency systems in regulated industries (banking, fintech, insurance preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving skills in performance, capacity, and incident management.
• Fluent English communication skills and ability to work in a global, multicultural environment.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a strong sense of ownership.

Nice to have:

• Exposure to observability tools such as AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk, OpenTelemetry.
• Understanding of financial services compliance and risk management.

• Lead the DBA and Unix/Linux infrastructure team, delivering engineering and operational outcomes for critical services.
• Own team delivery from intake and prioritization to execution and reporting.
• Drive improvements in stability, monitoring, alerting, and performance across infrastructure and databases.
• Establish and maintain engineering and operational standards including documentation, peer review, and change practices.
• Mentor and coach engineers to build a thriving, high-performing team.
• Foster a culture of quality, automation, and continuous improvement.

Kraków: 6 days/month on-site required.
