Senior OutSystems Developer / Architect

As an OutSystems Developer / Senior Developer, you will design, develop, and deliver high-impact, enterprise-grade web and mobile applications using the OutSystems platform. The role involves accelerating digital transformation by bridging complex backend enterprise systems with modern user experiences, leveraging low-code development, hyperscaler integrations, and emerging technologies, and ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

• Strong hands-on experience with OutSystems 11 (O11) and/or ODC
• Certified OutSystems Developer (Web/Mobile) or higher
• Experience with Reactive Web & Mobile applications, Server Actions, Client Actions
• Experience in API development & integration
• Proficiency with Service Studio, Service Center, LifeTime, Integration Studio
• Database skills with SQL Server / Oracle, data modeling, and query optimization
• Engineering graduate or equivalent
• 6–8+ years of experience in OutSystems development
• Strong experience in application design and delivery, performance optimization, and Agile methodologies
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English
• Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize work
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
• Collaborative and mentoring-oriented approach

Full-Stack Development:

• Design and develop Reactive Web and mobile applications (iOS & Android) using OutSystems
• Build scalable, high-performance enterprise applications following OutSystems best practices
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions

Experience Engineering (UX/UI):

• Build pixel-perfect, responsive user interfaces aligned with global brand guidelines
• Deliver intuitive and optimized user journeys for customer and employee-facing applications
• Customize UI using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and OutSystems UI Framework

Integration & Middleware:

• Develop and consume REST / SOAP APIs
• Integrate with hyperscaler services (GCP / Azure / AWS), SAP and enterprise platforms, and legacy FMCG systems
• Use OutSystems Integration Studio and Integration Builder for extensibility

Database & Performance:

• Design and optimize data models within OutSystems
• Work with SQL Server / Oracle, including advanced queries and indexing
• Assess applications for performance issues, architecture improvements, and optimization opportunities

Mobile Application Development:

• Implement advanced mobile capabilities including offline data synchronization, push notifications, camera and biometric integrations
• Deliver native-like mobile experiences using OutSystems mobile framework

Architecture & Best Practices:

• Follow OutSystems 4-Layer Canvas architecture
• Ensure modularity, scalability, and reusability
• Enforce coding standards and development best practices
• Use Architecture Dashboard for governance

DevOps & Release Management:

• Manage application lifecycle using Service Studio, Service Center, LifeTime
• Perform code merging and deployments (Pre-Prod to Prod), release planning and release note preparation
• Support CI/CD practices

Quality Engineering & Support:

• Ensure quality through automated testing (TDD / BDD), code reviews and validation
• Handle bug fixing, hotfixes, troubleshooting and debugging
• Ensure production stability and issue resolution

Emerging Technology Initiatives:

• Contribute to digital innovation initiatives including GenAI integrations, IoT dashboards, AR-based applications
• Prototype rapid solutions using low-code capabilities

Senior Developer Responsibilities (Additional):

• Lead technical discovery and solution design sessions
• Mentor junior developers and drive Low-Code CoE best practices
• Review and approve code, architecture, and design decisions
• Manage environments and deployments, Forge component evaluations
• Drive adherence to architecture and governance standards
