Senior Callas pdfToolbox Specialist / PDF Workflow Expert

Square One Resources is seeking an experienced specialist to develop, maintain, and optimize automated quality control processes for PDF files in a production environment including print, labels, packaging, and advertising materials.

• Minimum 5 years of experience working with callas pdfToolbox or other advanced PDF preflight and automated processing tools in print, publishing, or packaging environments.
• Strong knowledge of PDF standards (including PDF/X, PDF/A), preflight, validation, and print file preparation.
• Practical experience building or maintaining automated quality workflows for production files.
• Ability to independently design and implement stable solutions requiring mainly supervision and optimization.
• Experience in printing, packaging, publishing, or advertising environments is a plus.

• Configure, develop, and maintain processes based on callas pdfToolbox for validation, preflight, correction, and automated PDF processing.
• Create and optimize quality control rules for production files.
• Collaborate with prepress, production, and operations teams to minimize input errors and automate file handling processes.
• Analyze issues at the client-file-production interface and implement durable systemic solutions.
• Monitor and maintain existing workflows and continuously improve them after deployment.
• Participate in standardizing technical correctness rules for PDF files within the organization.
