Senior Full Stack Developer with AI

Idego is a team of around 100 experienced problem solvers focused on Cloud, Data & AI, and Software development. The company is 100% remote-friendly and values autonomy and accountability. The role involves working on a modern maritime operations platform for a long-standing European client, integrating AI-powered data extraction from shipping documents.

• 6+ years of commercial experience with React and TypeScript
• 7+ years of commercial experience with Python and Django/DRF
• Solid understanding of REST API design and integration patterns
• Experience with PostgreSQL and async task processing (e.g., Celery)
• Daily use of AI tools (Cursor, Copilot, ChatGPT or similar) is mandatory
• Proven ability to own and drive complex technical decisions end-to-end
• Experience leading or mentoring other developers
• Strong English communication skills (C1)

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with Next.js (SSR/SSG patterns)
• Experience with Azure or similar cloud infrastructure
• Knowledge of email processing pipelines or document parsing

• Migrating functionality from a legacy monolithic system into the new platform (React + Django)
• Building and maintaining modules for invoice management, fleet data, and crew documentation
• Integrating and improving an AI-powered document processing pipeline (PDF → structured data)
• Developing QoL features: email automation, Excel exports, webhook-based sync between systems
• Working autonomously on complex tasks and making sound technical decisions independently
• Mentoring mid-level developers and participating in code reviews
• Collaborating directly with the client on scope, priorities, and technical direction
• Participating in bi-weekly planning sessions
