Senior C++ Developer

We are hiring Senior C++ Developer for a well-established US Nasdaq-listed company. It is a unique opportunity to remotely join the Dealer Software (DS) development team that is a part of an Institutional Fixed Income Technology. The DS team is a small group of 8 developers responsible for maintaining and enhancing the GUI and API applications for Dealer clients to transact on the platform. These applications cover all fixed income rates, swaps, credit, and equity derivatives products that the company supports globally.

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• 8+ years’ experience in C++ programming (preferably experience with C++11 and C++20).
• 5+ years of experience developing enterprise multi-user real-time systems.
• Experience with multi-threading.
• Experience with enterprise architecture, such as client-server, multi-layer systems.
• Network Programming, TCP/IP knowledge.
• A background in Finance is highly preferred.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Windows-based projects; Unix/Linux is a plus.
• FIX Protocol experience.
• Evidence of planning and testing ability.
• Ability to quickly understand and debug existing enterprise systems.
• Pragmatic approach to problem solving.

• Work with a substantial codebase, requiring an inquiring and tenacious approach to development and maintenance.
• Implement code for interfacing with the dealer trading system.
• Understand and enhance existing code base for asset classes within existing infrastructure and coding conventions.
• Ensure code is tested thoroughly; reliability is paramount as code is rolled into production regularly.
• Implement and assist in specifying application programming interfaces used by dealer-banks to connect to the Dealer Software trading system for automated trading.
• Use and develop simulators to test enhancements.
• Work with internal stakeholders, including product managers, to clarify project requirements and specifications during development, testing, and post-production.
• Provide 2nd line support to the business by investigating and resolving day-to-day dealer queries in development and production environments.

Please note that the working hours must overlap with New York business hours. A full 8-hour overlap (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET) is preferred, with a minimum of 6-7 hours of overlap required during this window.
