Data Engineer (Life Sciences & Healthcare)

Our client is a leading global provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions, and clinical research services for the life sciences industry. The company combines large-scale healthcare data with AI-powered analytics to accelerate drug development, clinical trials, and commercialization for pharmaceutical and biotech companies. It was named to Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies list in 2026.

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including at least 2–3 years in a senior-level role.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms: Google Cloud and AWS preferred; Azure acceptable.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts; experience with BigQuery or similar technologies.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers and stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Nice to have:

• Experience with JavaScript to support legacy code.
• Familiarity with Snowflake or other modern data platforms.
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts and interest in applying them to data engineering.
• Healthcare industry experience is a plus.

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and workflows for large-scale analytics and audience forecasting.
• Work across the application stack, focusing primarily on backend data engineering.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with global engineering pods to maintain consistent coding standards.
• Mentor and guide engineers and contractors, fostering technical growth.
• Partner with product managers and peers to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.

6-12 month contract to hire (moving to client after the end). Position only for locations where IQVIA has offices.
