Senior Android Engineer

ITFS is a consulting company from the Tricity area with a branch in Warsaw. It focuses primarily on IT specialist recruitment and creating project-based Software Houses for clients from Poland and Western Europe.

• Experience in the automotive industry.
• Documented over 5 years of experience developing Android applications.
• Proficient knowledge of Kotlin and Java.
• Ability to manage own work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with Android API and Android Jetpack, including general knowledge of Android NDK and JNI.
• Knowledge of Android system design principles, application interface guidelines, performance optimization, and testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with embedded Android framework services.
• Experience with continuous integration tools such as GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging solutions.
• Excellent programming and code proofreading skills.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and positive influence on cross-functional teams.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of C++.
• Experience in solutions related to maps/navigation, multimedia, and Bluetooth technology.

• Design and develop modular, scalable applications for automotive multimedia systems (infotainment) based on Android.
• Create design patterns and libraries to facilitate application development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product and UI/UX teams, to define application features.
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in applications to optimize performance.
• Conduct code reviews and work according to continuous integration and development (CI/CD) principles.
• Write test code, including edge case handling, to ensure high quality, stability, and correct functionality.
• Design and implement updates and new application releases.
• Analyze the AOSP platform for better performance and application integration.
• Create demonstration and sample applications using the company's technology.
