Senior Fullstack (Java+Kotlin+Angular+Typescript) hybrid Kraków

VIRTUSA is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join their engineering team working on internal enterprise toolsets and legal technology platforms. The role involves bridging backend services and frontend interfaces in a hybrid work setup based in Kraków, Poland.

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in Java and Kotlin.
• Strong command of Core Java, concurrency models, and performance tuning.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices patterns, and API governance (RESTful, gRPC).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Proven experience shipping production-grade frontend features using Angular and TypeScript.
• Experience building and optimizing complex, data-heavy frontend interfaces.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP, also AWS) and modern cloud services like Cloud Run and Cloud SQL.
• Solid understanding of containerized workflows using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong analytical, root-cause analysis, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to articulate architectural decisions and work effectively in an agile, distributed environment.

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Spanner or similar globally distributed databases.
• Familiarity with the Dart programming language.
• Prior experience delivering internal enterprise toolsets or legal technology platforms.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable applications balancing backend services and frontend interfaces.
• Optimize application performance and resolve complex concurrency issues.
• Develop, test, and deploy data-heavy UI components and interactive monitoring dashboards.
• Participate in system architecture reviews and provide recommendations for scaling.
• Ensure code quality and reliability through unit and integration testing.
• Participate actively in the full software development lifecycle including SIT, UAT, and LNP phases.
• Collaborate in an agile, multi-country distributed setup.

Position is hybrid (3 days office, 2 days remote).
